PROMAT 2011 Material Handling Show - IT’S A WRAP

The PROMAT 2011 show focused on the latest developments in the material handling and logistics industry; showcasing the latest productivity solutions with innovative ways to increase the productivity and profitability of manufacturing, warehousing, distribution and logistics operations. Show attendees came to see, touch and operate the solutions of the top material handling and logistics providers.

Many of the visitors at the Wulftec booth were facility managers, warehouse managers, VP’s, Presidents etc. of their respective companies. Inquiries included automatic stretch wrapper applications, strapping equipment applications and people that were currently hand wrapping and were at a point where they may be able to justify moving to a semi automatic wrapper.

Wulftec’s booth featured the SMLCA-277 Automated Twin Station Conveyorized Stretch Wrapper and the SMART SMH-150 High Profile Semi Automatic Stretch Wrapper.

PACK EXPO 2010 CHICAGO SHOW - A SUCCESS FOR WULFTEC

Brand owners, packaging and processing professionals gathered in Chicago for PACK EXPO International 2010, the most comprehensive packaging and processing trade show in the world this year. Preliminary results show the four-day event, Oct. 31–Nov. 3, spanned more than 1 million net square feet in McCormick Place, and attracted over 44,000 attendees and 1,835 exhibiting companies (7 percent) more than the 2008 edition.

However, says Charles D. Yuska, president & CEO of PACK EXPO producer PMMI, the truest measure of trade show success is the degree to which attendees and exhibitors believe participating has been a good use of time and resources. In Yuska’s eyes, the increase in exhibitors and the demand for exhibit space in Las Vegas next year point to a good start for 2011.

"PACK EXPO International 2010 was definitely a success," says Yuska. "Traffic was consistently strong, and the exhibitors I spoke with were very pleased with the quality of leads they received."

New Record for International Delegations

PACK EXPO International 2010 welcomed visitors from 125 countries and saw a 23.9 percent increase in international attendance over the 2008 show. That included a record 46 international delegations, representing 34 countries — a 155 percent jump in delegations, and a 26 percent increase in international delegates. The 1,935 Canadian visitors comprised the largest international contingent. After Canada, the five most-represented nations were Mexico, China, Japan, Colombia and Brazil — in that order./p>

The NA 2010 show was held at the International Exposition Center in Cleveland from April 26 - 29. Material handling and logistics buyers from more than 60 countries attended the show… they came to see, touch and operate the solutions of over 400 of the top material handling and logistics providers. The show floor featured manufacturing, warehousing, distribution, assembly, logistics and IT solutions for the supply chain.

Our booth was busy every day…the new SMLCA-277 Automated Twin Station Conveyorized Stretch Wrapper never missed a beat, as did the SMART SML-150…both stretch wrappers generated lots of interest and leads.

Wulftec was one of just a few stretch wrapper manufacturers present at this year’s event and attendees took notice of what we had to offer. Visitors who stopped in the Wulftec booth comments on the appearance of our wrappers…that Wulftec wrappers looked rugged, sturdy and were much quieter than other wrappers. PACK EXPO Las Vegas from October 5–7, 2009, attracted 22,721 packaging and processing professionals, making it the second-largest PACK EXPO Las Vegas since PMMI launched the show in 1995.

Consumer goods companies expressed confidence in the future of the economy last week by turning out for PACK EXPO Las Vegas in near-record levels, reports leading packaging and processing trade association PMMI. The attendees were in search of packaging and processing innovations, and were not disappointed.

"Given the economy this year, we are extremely pleased with the turnout,” says Charles D. Yuska, president and CEO of PMMI. “Trade shows mirror the industries they serve, and the strong attendance may indicate an economic recovery as consumer goods companies leverage the show for their capital equipment investments and packaging innovation efforts."

The Promat 2009 show was held at the McCormick Center in Chicago from January 12-15. Material handling and logistics buyers from more than 90 countries attended the show…they came to see, touch and operate the solutions of over 700 of the top material handling and logistics providers. The show floor featured manufacturing, warehousing, distribution, assembly, logistics and IT solutions for the supply chain.

Wulftec had on display the new WCA-SMART™ with heat seal, a SML-200 with SMART start & pull cord and the conveyor rollers display…the conveyor rollers display generated lots of interest.

Many of the visitors to our booth were facility managers, warehouse managers, VP’s, Presidents etc. of their respective companies. Inquiries included people that were presently hand wrapping and were at a point where they may be able to justify moving to a wrapping machine. There were also technical questions about the various machines that we sell and what would be the best machine for their application.

Our growth with integration firms can be linked to Wulftec attending and becoming more involved in the material handling industry.

EXPO PACK 2008 MEXICO SHOW A SUCCESS!!

EXPO PACK Mexico welcomed 32,000 packaging professionals, according to show owner and organizer PMMI. The tally includes 26,285 visitors representing 38 countries, a 5 percent increase over the 2007 edition. The event featured 931 exhibiting companies from 25 countries, an 8 percent increase in exhibitors over 2007.

Wulftec collected a large quantity of quality leads!

We received visits from multi-national plant managers to end users who are currently wrapping manually.

The SMLPA-200 with the cut and wipe system was the booth attraction that interested most people.

Some said that they really bash our equipment and their Wulftec stretch wrapper always stands up to the abuse. Consumer and industrial goods companies broke PACK EXPO Las Vegas attendance records as they flocked to the largest, most comprehensive packaging event in 2007 to find innovative packaging solutions from the record number of exhibiting packaging suppliers. PMMI’s PACK EXPO Las Vegas (October 15-17, 2007, Las Vegas Convention Center), set new highs in visitor attendance (+10 percent), Exhibitor Attendance (+19 percent), Total Attendance (+13 percent), International Attendance (+34 percent), Number of Exhibiting Companies (+12 percent) and Net Square Footage (+17 percent). We collected a large quantity of quality leads!
Received the visits of large corporations who have an interest in Wulftec’s equipment. We received visits from numerous potential distributors who are currently representing competitors’ lines but would like to take on the Wulftec line.
All the equipment that was demonstrated at the show performed well. We were complimented on the robustness and quality of our equipment, how easy it is to use and how good we are servicing our customers.
